Tampa-based, Top-Producing Broker Joins the Firm as Executive Managing Director
TAMPA, FL, April 2, 2018 – Cushman & Wakefield is pleased to announce that Executive Managing Director Travis Prince has joined the firm to lead its national Student Housing Capital Markets Team.
Prince has 20 years of experience in investment real estate and is regarded as an industry leader in the student housing sector. He will be based in Cushman & Wakefield’s Tampa office and will focus on the acquisition and disposition of student housing investment properties throughout the country.

Prince comes to Cushman & Wakefield from Colliers International, where he has specialized in student housing investment sales with the firm’s National Student Housing Group since 2012. His work included portfolio analysis, acquisition and disposition strategies, capital stack and joint venture structures and leasing and management consulting.
He was a top five produc er with Colliers in Florida for the past six years, and his transaction volume was consistently in the top 10 percent of the company’s national production. Before Colliers, Prince was with Marcus & Millichap for six years.

Prince began his career in investment real estate after graduating from Vanderbilt University in 1998. He assembled a portfolio of multifamily properties in the Nashville area, which he rented to local students and young professionals.
In 2010, Prince founded PrincEquity, a boutique private equity fund, investing in multifamily, senior housing and self-storage with total asset value exceeding $250 million. He is a member of the National Multi-Housing Council and the Urban Land Institute.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Student Housing Capital Markets Team is part the firm’s national Multifamily Advisory Group, which, in Florida, is led by Vice Chairman Robert Given. In addition to student housing, the group specializes in conventional apartment communities, distressed sales, value-add properties, manufactured housing, multifamily land, affordable housing and equity joint ventures.
